This week we applied for the title International Show Champion (CIE) for Splash. Last weekend she achieved the last point in Lingen, Germany. For this title, a dog must have obtained 4 international championship points (CACIB) in 3 different countries. The CACIB is awarded to the best male and best female (with the exception of youth and veterans).
A month ago, the application went out for Fozzy. When these two requests have been processed, we will have no less than 10 dogs that are International Show Champion. When this title became possible for retrievers, our Tess was the first Dutch toller to become CIE. Then followed Tango, Arie, Chuck, Joppe, Luna, Dawn and Zoë. And now Fozzy and Splash are added and the total comes to 10.

Henry and Alieda were sad to put their Yamo to sleep on Wednesday. Yamo (Abayomi Under the Red Sky) was 14 years old, he was a son of Banshee and Tango. In all those years he has never been sick, he only went to the vet for vaccinations. But last weekend he suddenly became ill and it deteriorated rapidly. Henry and Alieda miss this huge sweetheart very much, we wish them a lot of strength. Abayomi means 'born to bring good luck'. We know that Yamo has lived up to his name and we hope the many fond memories give some comfort.

Stubborn until his last day! This is how Hilbrand and Irma describe their toller Whero (Kia Ora Haria Mai Under the Red Sky). On Tuesday they had to say goodbye to him, at the age of 15. Whero leaves behind many wonderful memories: walks in the area, holidays on Terschelling and his commitment as a therapy dog for the elderly. He was a great buddy for Hilbrand and Irma. We are grateful to them for all the loving care and wish them a lot of strength with this loss.
